A retro sign inspired by the 'makeshift' warning signs from the front lines in Europe in WW1. The mines of Messines were a series of explosive charges placed beneath German lines near the town of Messines in Flanders during World War I. Tunneled and laid by British and Commonwealth forces, the mines were detonated on June 7, 1917, creating a series of massive explosions. This tactical move was a prelude to the Battle of Messines Ridge. The blasts were among the largest non-nuclear explosions in history, signaling a strategic shift and significant success for the Allies on the Western Front.
