A motivating print inspired by Shackleton's rumored recruitment advert for his famed Antarctic Exploration. The original advert was placed in the Times and garnered over 5000 responses. However, historians have yet to discover documented proof that the advert was ever published. Real or myth - it encapsulates the heroic age of Antarctic exploration and that glorious spirit of the period - “Ah, when ships were made of wood and men were made of steel…” The advertisement has become emblematic of Shackleton's leadership and his ability to inspire men to take on extraordinary challenges.
