Butch Cassidy (1866–1908) and the Sundance Kid (1867–1908), born Robert Leroy Parker and Harry Alonzo Longabaugh, were notorious American outlaws and leaders of the Wild Bunch. They gained infamy for their bank and train robberies, fleeing to South America to evade the law. Billy the Kid (1859–1881), alias of William H. Bonney, was a gunslinger and cattle rustler involved in the Lincoln County War. Jesse James (1847–1882) was a renowned outlaw and leader of the James–Younger Gang, infamous for their bank and train heists during the post-Civil War era.
