A digital recreation inspired by adverts for The Land Rush of 1889. Also known as the Oklahoma Land Rush, it was a pivotal event in American history when the U.S. government opened up 2 million acres of unassigned lands in Oklahoma for settlement on April 22, 1889. Thousands of eager settlers, known as "Boomers," lined up at the borders, waiting for the signal to race and claim their plot of land. The rush marked a significant moment of westward expansion, symbolizing the American spirit of opportunity and the drive for new beginnings. However, it also had profound consequences for Native American populations, who were displaced in the process.
