The U-boat campaign, initially successful in the Atlantic, faced challenges as Allied countermeasures improved. The Battle of the Atlantic became a critical theater, impacting supply lines. Despite early successes, technological advancements and Allied efforts turned the tide, contributing to Germany's eventual defeat and highlighting the evolving dynamics of submarine warfare.
