Thomas "Tom" Crean (1877–1938) was an Irish Antarctic explorer and a key member of expeditions led by Robert Falcon Scott and Ernest Shackleton. Renowned for his courage and endurance, Crean played a crucial role in the heroic Age of Antarctic Exploration. He participated in the Discovery Expedition, the Terra Nova Expedition, and the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition. His feats include an 800-mile journey to seek aid during the ill-fated Endurance expedition. Crean's contributions to polar exploration earned him the Albert Medal and the Polar Medal.
